Neoka's Song

When everything is in harmony, there is no chaos. When the world chants, we listen. When the birds sing, spring rises. When the winds blow, we feel the rhythm move us... Life is a song, and I intend to share it with you.

Motivation is IN our hearts

"Motivation is IN your heart"

For me that means that doesn't matter how hard my leader tries to motivate me, it still my decision if I want to be motivated or not. This doesn't mean that the leader can forget about the motivation of the team, On the contrary, it means that the leader it must make conscience in his team: he will do all the possible by to motivate them, but in the end, each one will find his/her motivation in his/her heart.

One cannot motivate another unless they want to be motivated, just like one cannot change another, unless they want to be changed. By setting a good example, by being motivated, and by being the change, we can show others the greatness in this and they can make their own conscious decision. Now that is change.

Whole in the bucket

A beautiful film by Anthony Minghella describes how some of the worlds poorest countries paid more money in debt than they were getting in aid.

G8 has only begun to act... there is still MUCH to be done

Idealist or a Realist?

Realism without Idealism is a nightmare.
Idealism without Realism is just a dream.

Stop it, stop it, stop it! (rant)

Has anyone else had it with the real bad spin doctoring job that Bush uses to justify his war?

"Our enemy, the terrorists, are ruthless and brutal. They're fighting on behalf of a hateful ideology that despises everything America stands for," Bush said.

There is so much Racism, Ignorance and Cruelty in this sentance.. isn't that what American stands AGAINST?
or at least should...

No wonder this world looks up to Brad Pitt and Paris Hilton instead of Geoffery Sachs or Koffi Annan as role models.

I applaud Angelina Jolie and Bono for their courage and commitment to use their fame and power for good in the world, but these actors and artists signed up to be just that... actors and artists, yet we glorify them and then get upset when they end up in rehab or hear about them trashing hotel rooms all the time...

This is what happens when you try and replace Values with Media. They both have the same basic principles... guiding our habits in one direction for our personal betterment. However, what Media lacks is any responsibilty towards the future of our society, or the future of our species, or any of us individually...

hmmm // food for thought:

"In all their objectives our enemies are trying to intimidate America and the free world, and in all their objectives they will fail," the president said to applause from the gathering of 15,000.

How many people applauded Hitler during his reign in one of his "gatherings"?

(Not to say Bush's crimes are as bad as Hitlers... but the way he is trying to support his war is curiously similar...)

This needs to stop. All this needs to stop. He needs to stop. The media needs to stop.

"Let our people go!"

AIESEC = Political?

Do not put on display at Global Village
National/Territory flags – This is a legislated rule in AIESEC and exists out of
respect for some member countries who officially cannot acknowledge flags of
other countries.

I am hoping that some of you can provide me with some insight into why this is necessary?
Is this fear over security or saftely for pakistani delegation at IC? or is it something else?

personally I don't like this move as it makes a very STRONG political statement, and we want to get away from politics... but maybe there is something deeper that I do not know about...

explanations?

1 week

In the passing of a week I have experiences a life threatening event with the Oceans of El Salvador, as did a trainee from Turkey...

A friend from India in Czech Republic battled the waves of a rapid river. Her life spun around a rock that kept her from being taken away.

A girl from Mexico on traineeship in Ghana has fallen severly ill, and a network of students all around the world have helped raise money to save her life.

But in India, a legend and Hero to many has fallen on a day that should have given him the most happiness. Peace be with you Bharat.
