Neoka's Song

When everything is in harmony, there is no chaos. When the world chants, we listen. When the birds sing, spring rises. When the winds blow, we feel the rhythm move us... Life is a song, and I intend to share it with you.

Aug and September are world tour months!

My trip has been a whirlwind since it began in mid august when I left Karachi (can't believe ive been away from home for a month!)

The red signifies all the countries ive been to, 17 in total. The yellow line represents my travel intinery since I left Karachi a month ago.

This is what I did and where I went...

Aug 20th - Left Karachi arrrived in Dubai, traveled to Sharjah and stayed with Emad's dad.
Aug 21st - Left Sharjah and returned to Dubai, met up with Arwa and friends, then left for Abu Dhabi to visit Ahmed. I returned to Sharjah that night.
Aug 22nd - Left for Poland, via London, randomly ran into someone who looked like a childhood friend while i waiting like a rat in the line while they dug through everyones baggage, these security pre-cautions are a serious pain... Arrived in Warzsaw

(this picture totally inspires me...)
The almost 2 full weeks I spent in Warzsaw were amazing, IC can never be a let down, not when 700 youth and 200 externals come together from over 95 countries! (97 now woo!)

Sept 5th - Left Warzsaw and arrived in Frankfurt where I stayed with Marcus. It was a great visit, we had so many deep and though provoking (and sometimes emotional) conversations about life, culture and philosophy, being that he lived and worked in Afghanistan and me in Pakistan.

Sept 7th - Left Frankfurt and landed in Toronto where I was greeted by Jabeen, Senem, Yasu and Berlin (thanx for the warm welcome home!) Spent the next couple days bumbing Toronto catching up on movies, and with friends.

Sept 11th - Left for Ottawa! Saw my old friends, old LC, old office, old High Commision to Pakistan... (they all know me by name) and MashAllah they finally issued me my work visa!!!

Sept 13th - returned to Toronto
Sept 15th - left for Calgary and surprised my sister when i got back! Went to a play for my step dads "A mail order bride" it was a great performance! Makes me wish I was acting again. My sister is cast as a fairy in A mid Summer nights dream (a play i was supposed to be in!!) im very proud of her!

Sept 16th - today... and I leave for Toronto on 18th, back to frankfurt on 21st, then back to karachi on 22/23rd

what a ride... :)

It's great to see you again, this site is a fantasic peice of work Kurt. It's a shame that you can't stay longer here in Calgary. Next time we'll have to come back to Bragg Creek where it all began to reflect on all the adventures. Keep up the great work!!!
