I'll see it when I believe it...
A dear friend (thanx J) said this to me today, and it truly was a moment of peace among the calamity of perpetuated anger and ignorance.
"I'll see it when I believe it. "
The truth is this whole clash between Islam and the West will not be resolved while people continue to see through the same lens as they always have. Because the principles behind what each culture basis its values on are fundamentally different (read: not the same, but equal in value)
Therefore it will only be in belief that we truly see each others perspectives...
Ah... A world where we believe before we see (read: pass judgement) sounds almost utopic...

When Jesus came back to life, he appeared to His Disciples, but one of them, Thomas, was not there, so when the others told him: Thomas, we have seen the Lord" he said, I wont believe it until I see it.
So then, Jesus went to where Thomas was and told him: See my hands and see my side, Stop doubting and believe. And Thomas believed.
(John 20:29) Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
