Neoka's Song

When everything is in harmony, there is no chaos. When the world chants, we listen. When the birds sing, spring rises. When the winds blow, we feel the rhythm move us... Life is a song, and I intend to share it with you.

An unexpected culture shock

Where do I begin? Well I could start with the fact that I had more culture shock in the Ottawa airport then I have since I arrived in Mexico. It might have to do with the 'great' service that US immigration so generously provided me. I mean its only right that every passing through is treated like a terrorist and harassed to no end, made to feel guilty for having done nothing wrong. - I haven't left Canadian soil mind you. Its rather quite sad actually, first impressions of a country mean everything for a traveler, seriously, who in the right mind would want travel to the US or even TRANSIT through the US if they face such subjugation. I want to apologise, but rather think it is said that the paranoia that exists in the states both from within and from the outside is NOT healthy. Okay, so they are the biggest and toughest and richest nation in the world, by default they face a lot of criticism; as do CEO’s of major corporations. As of late these CEO’s have come to deal with a lot of these criticisms in ways that both come out victorious. I recommend a reading to Mr. Bush, the 7 Habits of highly effective people by Stephen Covey and I point directly to Public Habit #4 “Think Win/Win”
